Privacy and form data

Who is responsible

Norshapes AS, Mongstad, Vestland, Norway, is the controller for the details you send us. Send privacy questions through the contact form.

What the form collects

What you fill in: what the enquiry is about, name, email and message. Optionally also company, phone, quantity, material and deadline. The form also sends which language the page was in.

Netlify, which hosts the site and the form, may store technical information such as IP address and browser type with the submission, to stop spam.

What we use it for

Only to answer your enquiry, send a quote and follow up on any job that comes of it. We do not use it for newsletters, marketing or profiling, and we do not sell or share it.

The legal basis is that you ask us for a reply or a quote (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering businesses that contact us (art. 6(1)(f)).

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in Netlify Forms and forwarded to our inbox. Netlify, Inc. (USA) is our data processor and handles the data under its data processing agreement, which uses the EU standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the EEA.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a job are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact. If they do, we keep the correspondence for as long as the customer relationship lasts, and accounting records as long as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires.

Drawings and files

Drawings, models and project information you send us later are used only for your job and are not shared with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your details, and object to the processing. Send the request through the contact form and we will reply within 30 days.

If you believe we handle your details unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, pixels or trackers. That is why there is no banner to accept.
