Production Runs
Large runs of industrial parts in one colour and one material, up to production runs of over 5,000 pieces. TPU, PETG, nylon and carbon- or glass-filled materials, with a dedicated large-format machine for parts up to 600 mm.
Large runs of single-material parts, CAD design and reverse engineering. With 20+ years of CNC machining and mechanical engineering behind us, we design every part for production speed, strength and finish.
We work for industrial customers: production runs of functional parts, not one-off gadgets. From a worn part or a drawing to a repeatable batch, we handle design, material choice and production in-house.

Full 3D modeling and technical drawings. No drawing? We measure the existing or worn part, rebuild it in CAD and improve it for production where it makes sense. Technical animations of the design on request.
A printed part is only as good as its design. We work out the geometry, walls, orientation and print settings so every part prints fast, holds up and looks right, batch after batch. That is machinist thinking, applied to 3D printing.
Geometry and orientation tuned to cut print time and support material, and batches planned to full spools. Lower cost per part on long runs.
Layer direction, walls and infill placed where the loads are. The part has to work in the field, not just match the drawing.
Layer height, seam placement and surface settings tuned for a clean, consistent finish on every part in the batch.
TPU is a core speciality. We print several TPU grades and pick the one that fits the job, whether it needs grip, wear resistance, impact protection or a seal.

You don't need a finished drawing. Bring the part or the problem, and we take it from there.
A STEP file, a drawing, or the worn-out part itself. We can reverse engineer it.
We model it, or rework your design for print speed, strength and finish, and choose the material.
You get a first part to test in the real world before anything goes into volume.
Large single-material batches with the same tolerances and finish, part after part.
Industrial parts, fixtures and tooling, designed in CAD and printed in engineering materials.

A detailed 80x120 cm scale model of the PSW workshop in Mongstad, complete with cranes, office buildings, and a removable roof revealing a scaled Blowout Preventer inside.
Fully designed in CAD, 3D printed and assembled in-house on a mobile display table.

A two-piece valve for 1" and 1.5" floor drains that lets water through and keeps sewer smell out. Tested, then delivered fast.
Made for PSW Technology. TPU seals and PET handles, so the plug goes in fast when it counts.
A production run of 50 housings, 50 kg of material, for the salmon industry. Designed for printing and matched to full spools.
Too big for any print bed, so we split it into four sections and assembled it for test fitting.
Ø200 x 350 mm TPU protectors, designed in-house and produced in batches.
Clamps that hold a cable to a wire, printed in PCTG instead of expensive POM for a non-critical job.
Based near Mongstad in Western Norway, Norshapes makes parts for industrial customers in oil and gas, offshore, aquaculture and marine.
Our background is heavy mechanical: over 20 years of CNC machining, mechanical work and mechanical engineering. We know materials, tolerances and what a part goes through in the field, and we design with that in mind.
The focus is production: large runs of industrial parts in one colour and one material, with the geometry worked out for speed, strength and finish. CAD design, reverse engineering and technical animations are part of the package.
Large format: big parts in one piece, no splitting or gluing.
Tall build volume and dual extrusion, for long parts and two materials in one print.
Independent dual extruders that can print two parts at once.
Bigger than 600 mm? We split the part into sections and assemble it.
STEP or STL, ideally with a drawing showing critical dimensions, tolerances and quantity. If all you have is a sketch, photos or the old part, we work from that.
Yes! Reverse engineering is one of our core services. We measure the existing part, worn or broken, rebuild it in CAD and improve it for production where it makes sense.
We are set up for production: large runs of parts in one colour and one material, up to production runs of over 5,000 parts. We also take smaller batches and prototypes, especially when they lead to a run.
You get a quote with a price per part before we start. The price depends on material, size, print time and quantity, and the unit price drops with volume. Feel free to ask for prices at several quantities so you can compare.
You approve the first part before the run starts. After that we print with the same material, settings and orientation throughout, and check dimensions and finish along the way.
Yes. We keep the CAD model and print setup for every part, so a reorder matches the first run. Regular deliveries can be arranged.
In confidence. Drawings, models and project information are used only for your job and are not shared with anyone else. We are happy to sign an NDA before you send files.
Lead time is stated in the quote and depends on quantity, material and print time. If you have a fixed deadline, put it in the form and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it.
Yes. Parts up to 600 x 600 x 600 mm print in one piece on the MINGDA MD600 Pro. Larger parts are split into sections that are printed and assembled, like a 1200 mm split flange made in four pieces.
Pick “Not sure” in the form and tell us what the part has to do. We recommend the material, and TPU, PETG, nylon and fiber-filled grades are all on the shelf.
Got a part or a production run in mind? Tell us about it, and we will come back with questions or a quote.
